Comment on Hotel Qur’an Project: How You Can Help Us by Vessel http://www.iis.org.my/2004/11/20/hotel-quran-project-how-you-can-help-us/#comment-4 Vessel Fri, 17 Nov 2006 08:58:35 +0000 http://www.iis.org.my/2004/11/20/hotel-quran-project-how-you-can-help-us/#comment-4 The journey we take differs as we are regarded in terms of how we have chosen and how we have renewed our determination to choose every time we chose wrong. My words here are merely the sight of one who chose to not preach but to heal, myself. I see the conviction of merely placing these rites of my sprituality in locations where one may see that I have no fight to pick. I have no right to profess might over what they think is right or wrong. I humbly plead my case, that when there should be a fight, arms are only the way of those who have no choice. Offense is not my way, rather it is the betrayal of my belief that life must go on, for with life one may see the light and for a better life one seeks not to maim and murder. With peace, I may be allowed to trade, so as to provide zakat and fitrah, so my breathren may rise and follow the path of wisdom, to make me feel that though I am never worthy, they help me gain the peace I venture so hard to find. I may be a mighty trader, a large organisation or merely a humble wage earner. It does all good to be known as servants of peace and masters of acceptance, yet staunchly enslaved to a higher meaning than what I can sense. So I may be seen, even if different, a sensible man worthy of considering trade with. Salams.
